Module Seventeen: Photography Assignments

Please complete the following exercises. Submit the work as a file attachment. The Photography Assignment exercise is worth 15 points.

• Choose a location with something going on (your family dinner, a sporting event, etc.) and document the "event." Submit ten photographs of the "event" that combine to tell the story of the "event."

The above pictures are from the time that my family's care broke down.

• Practice capturing candid shots. Submit three photographs where you feel you’ve done a good job of capturing the moment.

• Photojournalism often involves photographing action. Practice photographing people or objects that are moving. Submit three photographs that contain something in movement.

• Choose one location. Practice taking overall, medium range, and close-up shots of the location. Submit two photographs for each type of shot.

• Photojournalism often involves telling a story with a photograph. Practice making each photograph you take contain a story within it. Think about what information the viewer needs to understand what is going on in the photograph. Submit three photographs that you feel tell a story
